Let's face it. Valentine's Day isn't for everyone especially if you're a fat slob sitting in front of your TV playing Halo 3 crying about how you don't have a date. However, if you still feel as if you need to get into the Valentine spirit and need cheering up, here's three television episodes that might be able to do it.
3. Married with Children - Valentine's Day Massacre
Now I know this isn't the majority's favorite show, but nonetheless, I thought this was a pretty funny episode about Valentine's Day and the humor of going out of the way to get a gift for your girl. Al battles other husbands at a store for last-minute Valentine's Day shoppers. Meanwhile, Bud gets physically and sexually abused when trying to find in a hotel his long-lost valentine girl, who is now a famous pop star.
2. The Office - Valentine's Day
Phyllis constantly receives Valentine's Day gifts from her boyfriend Bob while Pam continuously watches while not receiving anything. Dwight receives a Bobblehead from Angela while Dwight is afraid because he didn't get her anything. Later Angela returns to her desk to find a box. Inside the box is a key (to Dwight's house). She's happy.
To the camera Dwights says:
"Women are like wolves. If you want a wolf, you have to trap it. You have to snare it. And then you have to tame it. Keep it happy, care for it, feed it.
Lovingly, the way an animal deserves to be loved. And my animal deserves a lot
of loving." Roy comes to pick up Pam and she is pissed. Roy claims the day isn't over yet and her Valentine's Day gift is waiting for her at home. The best sex of her life. Pam is not amused.
1. The Simpson's - I Love Lisa
On Valentine's Day in Springfield, Lisa's class begins constructing paper mailboxes for all the cards they are about to receive. When Ralph gets no cards and begins to cry, Lisa hastily gives him a card out of sympathy (the card reads "I choo-choo-choose you" and has a picture of a train, much to Ralph's delight). Ralph immediately cheers up, and develops a romantic interest in his classmate.
Ralph begins to annoy Lisa at every turn, and Lisa finally breaks his heart at Krusty's show. Lisa regrets her actions, and tries to apologize to Ralph during their President's Day pageant. However, all Ralph does is try to focus on his role of George Washington. Afterward, Ralph signs autographs and greets well-wishers. Lisa also approaches, and gives him a new card, reading "Let's bee b[e] friends." Ralph accepts the offer. Chief Wiggum watches his son and Lisa sitting together on the swings over the music of the Monster Mash on the radio (though the radio station originally intended to play a romantic song).
